Review summary

Progress Knight: Remastered is praised for polished visuals and a sizable grind (≈300 levels), making it a solid time-killer. The art upgrade and progression are positives. However, reviews repeatedly note a lack of ongoing development, with sparse/overdue updates and unmet promises. Endgame content is short and offers no clear path for continued progression (rebirth after finishing). Not much new content beyond the original. Visuals help, but the unfinished state harms long-term value; some appreciate the ad-removal option.
Pros
  • Visually improved, polished graphics that modernize the look.
  • Large amount of content and grind, with about 300 levels, making it a solid time-killer.
  • Engaging grind and sense of progression that players enjoy.
  • Ad removal option provides a clean, optional monetization path for players who want to skip ads.
Cons
  • Lack of ongoing development; updates are sparse or greatly delayed, with promises left unmet.
  • Endgame content is short and ends without a clear path for continued progression (rebirth after finishing).
  • Not much new content beyond the original; the remaster feels like a visual upgrade with few new arcs or features.
  • Game can feel unfinished or abandoned to some players, dampening long-term value.

2025-08-30 Pe***** While the game is enjoyable, it can be completed in a day or two. It hints at more to come as you progress, but when the moment arrives to unlock the next stage, it just says to “stay tuned.” The game reminds me of Realm Grinder, but it simply hasn’t been developed any further. Without any updates in the last year, it seems the project may have been dropped. Now it’s just a trickle revenue stream from ads and ad removal. The game isn’t worth playing with ads, and 2.99 is barely cheap enough if you stretch it out over a week or two.

2025-06-06 Th***** A good amount of grind, while not sinking multiple hours into the game, I enjoyed the story aspect of revealing the secrets and experimenting with efficient skill leveling. I look forward to when they make more content after the Legends become true.

2025-05-02 Lu***** I really liked this game but the developers dropped this game completely. There’s no story, and when you unlock the light or dark path, that’s it. It hardly changes the gameplay and does not unlock any stories or prompts or anything of value. Highly disappointed.

2025-03-24 yo***** The game has wonderful visual improvements, but it’s missing many of the full game arcs and features. A polished, fun experience with affordable ad removal. But it only includes the good/evil arcs.

2025-02-27 Am***** Spoilers: Overall the game follows the original progress knight. It adds some maybe ai generated artwork, can’t be sure, and a light and dark choice. But that choice is fake and the only change is the names and the pictures since otherwise the game plays the same. And the ending leaves a-lot of room for disappointment. Text throughout the game eggs the player on to complete both paths to unlock a secret 3 path only to be met with a screen that shows updates coming soon with the last update being a year ago. Sad way to end a mid game.
