User Reviews

User reviews show the Edfringe iOS app has useful features like easy ticket retrieval, a planning/scheduling tool, location-based show info, and offline access. However, the app is plagued by reliability problems: persistent offline/connectivity errors, a flaky purchase flow (basket and checkout) including Apple Pay issues, planners not saving or syncing, frequent crashes and unstable search, and poor deep-link behavior from external links. Overall, the positives exist but are heavily outweighed by instability that makes buying tickets and planning fringe trips frustrating.

Pros

Ticket purchasing and ticket retrieval work reasonably well on the app.
Planner/schedule feature helps organize shows and avoid double-booking.
Shows near me and other event information are convenient and useful.
Offline mode exists and provides some offline access.

Cons

Frequent offline/connectivity errors and offline warnings even when online.
Shopping/cart/purchase flow is unreliable (adding tickets to basket and completing sales), including Apple Pay.
Planner/history syncing is broken; saved plans and purchased tickets often don’t appear.
Frequent crashes and search/navigation instability.
External links from Edfringe.com sometimes open the app homepage instead of the show page.

Recent reviews

I attended the Fringe last year and saw the warning “You’re Offline!” so many times when I wasn’t that I wanted to find the face of the man that they used with the warning and make him fix it. I am attending the 2026 Fringe in about 2 weeks and despite repeated deleting and reloading of the app as well as signing in and out, I either only see a countdown clock to the start of the Fringe and no other information OR a quick link to the planner with the first show I’m seeing, but when I go to the planner, it says I have no tickets. My favourites are there but no ticket history. I have confirmed tickets to almost two dozen shows. I’ll just use the web version, where I can see my purchased tickets and my favourites, and skip the headaches. But please try to fix this!

Not sure why this app's rating is so low. Used this in August 2025, exclusively bought tickets on the app and it worked just as described. Shows near me feature was very convenient as well.
