Features & Capabilities

222 helps you discover people you’ll get along with by inviting you to nearby, public group experiences. This isn’t a dating app, a friend-making service, networking, or mindless scrolling—it's a chance-based way to meet people in real life. Experiences are curated to foster authentic connections without profiles, DMs, or swiping, and invites are sent to relevant events nearby.

Key features include a curation profile that determines compatibility, group settings in public spaces, and vetting of members for each experience. Say yes to chance and explore connections you’d never encounter otherwise.

User Reviews

Overall, users praise 222 for curated, real-life meetups, friendly attendees, and a smooth UX that helps socializing. It helps newcomers and those avoiding dating apps. However, waitlists, heavy messaging, cost concerns, reliability issues, and authenticity worries limit consistent satisfaction.
Pros
  • Curated, well-run events and groups with planning handled by the app.
  • Easy, natural in-person interactions with friendly, non-awkward attendees.
  • Strong UX/design and thoughtful execution.
  • Great for meeting new people in a city, especially newcomers or those tired of dating apps.
  • Positive venues and social atmosphere that encourage real connections.
Cons
  • Waitlisting and selection barriers make attendance unpredictable with last-minute confirmations.
  • Frequent text messages/notifications with limited options to reduce frequency.
  • Subscription plus extra paid experiences can feel expensive or pay-to-play.
  • Reliability issues like endless loading and last-minute sign-ups that hinder planning.
  • Authenticity concerns and occasional reports of influencer promotion or no-shows affecting trust.

Was told by 222 in November I’m guaranteed to attend one event a month. Tonight, they walked back on it, and rejected me for 3 in a row with none other scheduled, and lied when called out on it. Doesn’t matter if you’ve attended 40 222 events. They will reject you. When called out on this, they said they pride themselves on creating “high quality experiences.” Which translates to those they reject as being “lesser quality.” So if you want an app to tell you that they don’t deem you worthy enough to attend their events, sign up for 222 today. :)

It's hard to make friends as an adult and 222 completely changed that. Each activity I've gone to has been so much fun and the people I've met are now my friends!! The combination of dinner and then an activity is perfect for ice breakers and I haven't met one unpleasant person yet.

Initially very skeptical, but met friendly people in my age group with similar interests.
