Cons
  • Paywall/subscription required to use core features, with price increases that reduce usability

Why would someone market an app on helping people by making them have to pay for the app to even use it? Yuka app is free; is it as accurate? I guess me and obviously thousands of others agree that it might not be more accurate; but it is indeed free. If the creators weren’t money driven and actually cared about people’s health; it would be free to use.

This used to be my FAVORITE app. It was great for everything. However, they just updated it to where you have to pay to basically do anything. Yeah, no.. I unfortunately had to delete it because I could no longer do anything useful. What a shame!

I’ve been using this app for nearly a year I believe and never had to pay for ANY of the features. Suddenly, it’s asking me to pay $11 subscription in order to search for items 🙄. It’s a shame because I loved this app and now I can’t use it.
