| 2025-08-10 | Br***** | This app has A TON of typos in English. Actually, they weren’t just typos. It’s just written wrong. It’s obvious that it was written by a non-native English speaker (who clearly should’ve collaborated with a Native English speaker or found someone who speaks both languages fluently before creating and publishing a language learning app). I didn’t even make it past the first few questions when you open the app for the first time. If I can’t trust the English, I can’t trust the Spanish either because the translations are probably wrong. I deleted the app. I will only pay for something that is written correctly in both languages. 𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐝𝐨 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐰𝐚𝐧𝐭 𝐭𝐨 𝐠𝐞𝐭 𝐨𝐮𝐭 𝐨𝐟 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠? 𝐎𝐩𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝟏: ❌ 𝐄𝐱𝐩𝐞̳𝐧𝐝 my vocabulary ✅ 𝐄𝐱𝐩𝐚̳𝐧𝐝 my vocabulary 𝐎𝐩𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝟐: ❌ 𝐌̶𝐚̶𝐤̶𝐞̶ 𝐛̶𝐞̶𝐭̶𝐭̶𝐞̶𝐫̶ my listening 𝐬𝐤𝐢𝐥𝐥 ✅ 𝐈̳𝐦̳𝐩̳𝐫̳𝐨̳𝐯̳𝐞̳ my listening 𝐬𝐤𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐬̳ You could also say: “Make my listening skills better.” (This does NOT sound as good though.) If you want to use the words “make” and “better,” you need the object in between the 2 words. The word “skill” should be “skills” (plural and not singular). We ALWAYS say “listening skills” (and NOT “listening skill”). It’s done like this in every dialect of English. NEVER say/write: “Make better my listening skill.” (Changing the word “skill” to “skills” will not make this sentence correct. “Make better” made my eyes bleed when I read it.) 𝐎𝐩𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝟑: ⁉️ 𝐏𝐫𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐞 𝐚 𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐮𝐚𝐠𝐞 ⤷ Isn’t this obvious? 𝐎𝐩𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝟒: ⁉️ 𝐈𝐦𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐯𝐞 𝐦𝐲 𝐜𝐮𝐫𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐥𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐥 ⤷ Isn’t this obvious? Here are some alternative suggestions for that question (with multiple ways to write them): - Expand my vocabulary - Learn more words - Improve my listening skills - Improve my listening comprehension - Improve listening comprehension - Improve my reading comprehension - Improve reading comprehension - Improve my pronunciation - Improve pronunciation - Improve my grammar and spelling - Improve grammar and spelling And as an unrelated side note to anyone who speaks English (including or especially native speakers), the word “pronunciation” is NOT pronounced like the word “pronounce” (because the second syllable is different). So let’s start saying this word correctly! pronunciation: ✅ pruh•𝐧𝐮𝐡𝐧•see-ey•shuhn ❌ pruh•𝐧𝐨𝐮𝐧•see-ey•shuhn Thank you! | |
