User Reviews

Users say the app provides a valuable, portable way to assess media bias and share findings, with praise for its usefulness and up-to-date ratings. However, multiple reviews cite serious reliability and UX problems: endless loading or non-responsiveness, being stuck in an orientation (landscape/upside-down), tiny unreadable icons/text, and login or membership access issues. Some also note limited search features and redirecting to the website. Overall, strong value if these stability and UI issues are fixed.
Pros
  • Informative and useful for analyzing media bias
  • Mobile accessibility: convenient on iPhone
  • Up-to-date ratings visible in the app
  • Shareable resource that users can reference with others
  • Valuable overall resource for discerning bias and verifying sources
Cons
  • Frequent loading issues and non-responsiveness (endless loading screens)
  • Orientation problems: app stuck in landscape or upside-down
  • Unreadable UI: tiny icons/text and logos; lack of zoom
  • Login/membership access issues: can't sign in or access content
  • Limited search features and redirects to website (not fully functional)

I’m a long-time follower and fan of this service via my laptop. I have shared the Bias Chart and link in dozens of posts and DMs, especially on LinkedIn. But this app needs work. First time I used it it worked great but immediately got stuck in landscape mode without any menus. It took over the phone and I could not swipe up and exit the app. I had to do something rare on any Apple OS. I had to power of and restart my phone. I have not attempted to relaunch it since. So have only used it once. I’ve beta tested software and realize updates are always necessary. Hoping the issue is resolved and I’ll gladly update this review. (I’m running iOS 18.6.2 on an iPhone 16 Pro Max)

This is actually a great resource to compare news sites and share info with others but unfortunately they decided to limit the searches and direct you to their website. The chart on the website straight up doesn’t work on mobile. The app is so much better. They say they have a membership but you can’t even login on the app. So they purposely gimped their app and then broke their website and then still ask for money? I’m sorry as good as the information is it’s not worth it.
