User Reviews

Worldseekers blends a deep deck-builder with wandering, GPS-based exploration and biome variety. Players praise its depth, card variety, witty events, and cozy adventurous vibe, along with strong replayability. Common drawbacks are a steep learning curve, energy timers, and pacing/navigation challenges. Overall, it offers a unique, engaging experience for deck-building and exploration fans, with room for better onboarding and pacing adjustments.
Pros
  • Deep, strategic deck-building with a large card pool and clever combos
  • Witty events and writing that add charm and humor
  • Unique GPS-enabled exploration with biomes and real-world flavor
  • Chill, cozy vibe that encourages exploration and long-term play
  • High replayability and a broad array of content
Cons
  • Steep learning curve and onboarding; combat mechanics can be confusing at first
  • Energy or action-limiting systems impose wait times that slow progress
  • Dungeons can feel large and slow to navigate, impacting pacing
  • Progression can be frustrating due to separate leveling across areas

I’m not sure if this project is still active, I’m guessing it is since the in-app purchases are still a thing. The ideas here are great, and use the real-time geolocation feature that blew up a decade ago in new-ish and interesting ways. The battle system is quite similar to Slay the Spire, which isn’t a bad thing at all, and while I think the consumable cards feature needs some serious fine tuning, it’s a pretty good idea. The dialogue in the cutscenes is witty, and I like that engaging with story elements is almost entirely optional but is still rewarding. That being said, I’m pretty sure half of the assets in the game are AI generated, and the other half are stock assets. You can’t have AI involved in a product that has paid features, they should be used as placeholders and nothing more. The game is quite buggy and some of the combat mechanics are completely broken (for instance, the “chill” status effect causes enemies to instantly take their action instead of halting them like it says it’s supposed to do); this is normal for a relatively new project, but I came across a dungeon related event where vibe coding is referenced and it’s leading me to wonder if this was also coded with AI. Which, again, is fine I guess in the early stages of development, but y’all shouldn’t be asking for money for anything related to a product that’s almost entirely AI-generated.

Its set so that fake players keep capturing whatever landmarks you use. Theres no way this less than 20 review game has lots of players near me.

I basically had the experience as the previous guy wrote a review. Not sure what was going on but the game is pretty intriguing nonetheless.
