Users praise Anona Security for easy setup and strong video quality, and note the app feels fast and smooth at first. However, the app is very buggy and about half the time the videos don’t upload even though I paid for the annual cloud subscription. The device is also fully updated as well. Not sure, but it makes me worry that if I truly needed footage of something, that it “wouldn’t upload”.
This is such a great little camera for the price! I got it off Amazon for around $30 and honestly, I’m so impressed with it. The app is super easy to use, has tons of options, and I haven’t had any issues with it so far! I originally got this camera to keep an eye on my kitten because she has to stay separated for a while due to ear mites and being too young for treatment. It has given me so much peace of mind being able to check on her throughout the day while I’m at work. I’ll open the app and catch her sleeping right next to the camera, playing, or having one of her crazy zoomies. I also LOVE that you can talk through the camera! She actually seems to recognize my voice, and it’s so cute being able to talk to her when I’m away. You can adjust the volume and settings to your liking, and there’s even a privacy mode, which I really appreciate. I saw a previous review saying that the voice couldn’t be turned off, but that’s not true! You absolutely can turn it off and adjust everything however you want. There are a lot more settings and features than I expected for such an inexpensive camera. You do need a SD card if you want to look back at previous videos. The night vision is also AMAZING! The picture is surprisingly clear in the dark. Just make sure there isn’t anything directly in front of the camera because it can focus on that object instead and make the rest of the picture look blurry. For around $30, I really don’t think you can beat this camera. It’s perfect for keeping an eye on pets, kids, or just having some extra peace of mind while you’re away. I’ve been so happy with it and would definitely recommend it!
