User Reviews

Users love Exocus for its beautiful visuals, calming atmosphere, and engaging planet-evolution rewards that motivate focus. They value the one-time Exopass, widgets, and ad-free experience. Common drawbacks include limited free features, perceived high premium price, occasional login/connection issues, and requests for more planet variety and a Focus Mode whitelist (plus a desktop option).
Pros
  • Beautiful, calming visuals and music with a sleek, minimal UI.
  • Planet evolution and narrations provide satisfying motivation to focus.
  • One-time Exopass purchase adds value (widgets, stat graphs) without a subscription.
  • Ad-free experience and non-intrusive design keeps focus on work.
  • Timer with built-in break planning and home screen widgets enhance productivity.
Cons
  • Free version lacks many features and feels limited.
  • Premium pricing is seen as pricey, with in-app purchases and promotions.
  • Some users experience login/connection issues (loading screen, wifi problems).
  • Missing Focus Mode whitelist; hard to prevent leaving the app during focus sessions.
  • Planet visuals can feel repetitive; requests for more planet variety.

I have adhd and autism, and this app has helped me so much. It’s motivating and fun to watch your planet evolve, and it doesn’t even have any ads. Although some features require a subscription, a lot of it is still free. Definitely would recommend, it’s the most fun and best focus app I’ve tried yet. Just a small thing, when I hyperfocus for long periods of time, like when I write or read for hours on end it doesn’t count for the time I actually spent. For example, if I spent 6 hours reading, that would count for 3 stage progressions according to basic math. But it only counts for one stage progression, which I find extremely unfair because I spent so much time focusing in hopes of evolving my planet further. Everything else is perfectly fine, it’s just this one thing.

The focus app I keep coming back to - I love that I can make a one time purchase for their leveled up version of an already great focus experience. I can feel the humanity behind this app and can’t wait to see where the developers take it. Thanks for making something cool that helps me get cool stuff done :)
