Important: ShuggaShugga is primarily intended for people using Loop.app, Nightscout, or another system that writes live blood glucose values into Apple Health or to Nightscout. For the best experience, your blood glucose data should be updated in Health in near real time.

ShuggaShugga is an independent app and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or associated with Dexcom, Loop, Nightscout, or their respective organizations.

Without Loop.app, Nightscout, or another live glucose source, blood glucose values in Apple Health may be delayed by hours due to Apple Health processing and regression analysis. In those situations, ShuggaShugga may not be suitable, since it depends on fresh glucose data for timely spoken announcements.

For users who manually enter blood glucose into Health, ShuggaShugga can still read values aloud, though the experience is significantly better with automatically updated live data.
