2025-05-15 Mr***** Apologies to the dev if they saw my initial review. I realized my mistake after looking at the pro subscription description. The app could use onboarding, as I thought e-book meant I could import e-books, especially as I found it from the search for importing PDFs. The PDF import alone is worth four stars. I own the most well known recipe app and have subscribed to several others on the top food and drinks list in the App Store. This is the first I’ve seen that doesn’t require you to import a photo. Which would require me to re-scan all my cookbooks. I can’t give it five because the UI isn’t attractive and it doesn’t have the option to send to grocery providers. I know whisk has one API., but it doesn’t include Canada. Other apps do send to instacart.ca.. I’m not sure how they’re doing it as the last I checked, there was no easy API access. I feel for two dollars a month there needs to be some type of requirement for a server besides sharing small bits of text and photos in recipes, and I have no use for social features. Though perhaps the PDFs are being processed through the server (?) rather than on device.

2024-12-19 Ki***** Have been using and loved this app but after the new update they paywalled too many features. Now they only let you keep 10 free recipes (previously no limits) and won’t even let me updated the existing recipes I have. I’d be okay with the meal planning options available with the upgraded version but now that they’re limiting the amount of recipes I’ll probably delete and move to something else. Very disappointed.

2024-06-03 Co***** Surprised I’m just finding this gem. It deserves way more downloads than half the others. It’s great. Wish it had more import options especially coming from another recipe app. Also would like a lifetime payment option. I personally don’t like tracking subs. And lastly, needs a dark mode that goes off iOS system.
