Loosid Sober Dating App

Loosid somehow manages to be particularly bad even by dating-app standards. Not only does it limit how many free likes you can send per day, it actually limits how many people you can pass on, which is absurd. Apparently even rejecting profiles is now a premium feature. The “free trial” is equally ridiculous: a measly three days, and it doesn’t even give you unlimited likes. So it barely functions as a trial of the paid product at all. This would already be obnoxious on a major dating app with a huge user base. On a smaller app like Loosid, where the dating pool is naturally much thinner, it makes even less sense. You’re already accepting fewer potential matches by leaving the mainstream apps, and Loosid responds by putting additional restrictions on your ability to simply browse them. Dating apps are already notorious for hostile monetization, but Loosid somehow finds a way to make the experience feel even more nickel-and-dimed. A remarkably bad product strategy for an app that needs more users, not more reasons for people to delete it.

I absolutely love the idea of this app. It’s for all of the right reasons too. But. Having said that, I’m finding that too many people have just one photo of themselves. One pic doesn’t get the job done. From me anyway.
