Review summary

Players praise literally - word game for being fun, original, fast-paced, and ad-free with satisfying story mode, but multiple reviews highlight recurring bugs, poor progress tracking, and language-related issues that hinder play. Common complaints include UI glitches, non-English text in menus, incomplete statistics, unachievable tasks, and a desire for more varied achievements. Overall, it’s entertaining when working, but stability and clarity improvements are needed for longer-term play.
Pros
  • Fun, fast-paced and original word gameplay that keeps you engaged.
  • Ad-free experience with no distracting ads.
  • Thoughtful story mode and well-designed levels with celebratory feedback after completion.
  • Relaxing, easy to pick up and good for passing time.
  • Good for playing with friends / social play.
Cons
  • Frequent bugs and glitches (UI/graphics, grid resizing, and tile glitches), especially after iOS 17.
  • Incomplete progress tracking and metrics; no progress meter and levels don’t end when objectives are met; missions not unlocking.
  • Vocabulary gaps and non-English UI/text; some words missing and stray characters confusing.
  • Some challenges are unreachable or not achievable, plus limited achievements and desire for more varied challenges.
  • Perceived lack of timely bug fixes / dev response (issues persist even when reported).

2026-05-16 Pe***** I really enjoy word puzzles and I don’t necessarily need to take my sweet time about it but I found this game somewhat annoying after a short time. Tutorial is a bit rudimentary: you can use letters in any order or sequence but they don’t really explain that. I didn’t have trouble passing levels, scooted right along every one I tried. The problem is I enjoy finding words and patterns and all that but the timer element makes any typo or mistake a hard LOSS and therefore a different vibe. I want to think not stress. I imagine there’s smarter folks out there that can bust out massive words using all the available letters at a rapid pace but what I found was the game basically motivates you to think smaller. Why waste the extra second seeing if I have enough letters for ‘anaphylaxis’ when I’d be better off busting LAX, PAN, LAPIS, HAY, etc and keeping more options open? Perhaps I’m just slow but going off past experience I’m really not (in this one particular aspect of existence anyway). It’s a speed game that uses words. Not so much a word game. Haste beats vocabulary on this one, so not what I’m after.

2023-10-20 Br***** I’ve noticed that everytime I get a word, the whole grid gets bigger and then falls back down to the screen, and the tiles all glitch a little. For some reason this has only started happening since I updated to ios17. Other than that, it’s pretty a pretty good game

2023-10-16 sa***** Enjoyed aiming for 3 stars before moving on. Also appreciated there were no ads or gimicks to distract from the purpose of the game. Helped me relax when I just needed a brain challenge, but was physically tired. Perfect to play while trying to fill asleep to keep my mind busy and just breathe.

2023-10-05 mo***** Really entertaining for passing time. I like that there’s a limited number of achievements, but then I also enjoyed it so much that I’m sad I finished them all. Wish there was random achievements to attempt when doing practice or rush mode so I’d continue to feel motivated to play after finishing story mode. But otherwise, still love it.

2023-09-24 Sc***** TO DEVELOPER: When I get pretty far is there is a character that shows up that looks like a circle with a line underneath it. It doesn’t work with any English words so I wonder if it’s leftover from the previous non-English version? Or did I miss what that character is supposed to do? (It looks like a lollipop with a very short stick)
