Review summary
Pros
- Excellent, intuitive UI and a superb on-the-go UX.
- Engaging, gamified learning with quizzes, leaderboards, and arcade-style challenges.
- High-quality, practical UX/UI content that feels actionable.
- Bite-sized lessons that fit busy schedules and quick, repeatable practice.
- Showcase feature and community feedback help build real-world portfolios and apply learning.
Cons
- Pricing is a major barrier: after a free unit, a Pro subscription is required and the cost is perceived as high.
- Free content is limited and access is inconsistent across platforms; some material is locked behind paywall.
- Login/sign-in friction and sign-in flow issues (Google sign-in and small-screen login problems).
- Mobile app lacks some web features (social features like leaderboards, profiles, and job board) and isn't fully parity with the website.
- Occasional cross-platform gaps and sync issues between web and mobile content.

| 2025-05-31 | Th***** | I was pretty skeptical downloading this app, but Uxcel Go totally surprised me — in a good way. 🖼 First Impressions & UI The login page was the first thing I saw, and it had a few issues on my small screen. Also, the “Sign in with Google” button being the only purple box felt out of place. But once I got in? Smooth. Clean. Sleek. The UI was simple and intuitive, with nice rounded edges that gave it a modern vibe. 📚 Learning & Features You can either dive into the theory or go straight to the quiz — which I loved. The lessons were organized, informative, and engaging. My only gripe? The theory sections sometimes have a LOT of text, and it’s easy to get lost if you’re not focused. 🚀 Performance Flawless. It ran super smooth, and I didn’t notice any bugs or crashes. Big win. 💸 Cost & Access Now here’s the catch… You only get the first unit of each course for free. After that, you need a Pro Subscription. Same thing that happened with Mimo, and yes — my heart shattered again. 🎯 Final Thoughts This app is amazing if you’re serious about learning UI/UX and willing to pay. If not, you’ll probably feel stuck pretty fast. But content-wise? It’s top-tier. Overall: Incredible app — just be ready to open your wallet. | |

| 2025-05-05 | Ad***** | I work full time and have been aiming to both bring design tools into my work and transition to a UX career. I have tried the Google Coursera UX certificate but got daunted after a couple of the courses with how self-directed you need to be and how little community there is. I have been contemplating doing a bootcamp but the cost and time investment is prohibitive. I came across Uxcel and I’m SO glad I did. The bite-size lessons and quizzes help me actually accomplish courses much faster than I thought because I can do it in short spurts in this gamified way (which works for me brain. The content is great - I have been really impressed with how practical and helpful it is. I’ve learned a lot! One of the features I really like is the “showcase” where you can choose a project brief that feels very beginner friendly, always based in real-world UX needs, and actually start producing case studies. The community gives feedback. I’ve found such a mental block working on my portfolio and this is giving me very real ways to just start designing. I still have a long way to go to master these skills but it’s a really great option to learn very targeted skills in an achievable way. | |

| 2024-12-29 | Go***** | Often, learning tools don't give enough, barely touch the surface, or are very rudimentary. Not Uxcelpro. This app is a well-built library of all the information needed to learn UX/UI effectively. From the time of lessons to the quality and difficulty of the exams, arcades, leaderboards, projects, assessments, job boards, and certifications, everything is done just right. An example would be how lessons have videos attached to them to demonstrate an action, etc. Or how the leaderboards exist, yet they are not overpowered like Duolingo. Yeah, you can get to the successive league if you score x number of points, but we aren't going to harass you with that kind of vibe. The arcade games are a good challenge to test your skills and hone your design abilities. They get incrementally tricky as you go. For me, the most beneficial part of this app is that the exams are not so easy. They are worded in a way that enables you to think and actually know the concept instead of just recalling obvious words. I've had to redo certain lessons just to fully grasp the content. To me, that's a sign of a legitimate education platform. All I'm saying is that I am ten times more confident in my learning path with this resource gem. I don't use it as my primary education tool, but it easily can be used as so. | |

| 2024-10-12 | J ***** | I bought a year of this service to learn UX design. The content itself seems pretty good, though I haven’t done much at other places. The problem is that they made some change in the code for their site and now my profile “skill graph” is totally messed up. I basically cannot send potential employers and clients to my profile as it looks very unprofessional. They said they were working on it but nothing has happened for many weeks. I spent a ton of time on this and now I can’t even use it to promote myself and my work. | |
