Update fixed issues and works as intended
2024-08-16 Ma***** I love using a Tourbox on my Mac and wanted something that could speedup my workflow for both Procreate and Clipstudio on the iPad. The XenX SC has really transformed my workflow on the iPad and I find I reach for the iPad more now because it is not only more ergonomic but also much faster to use. The curved shape of the controller sits very comfortable in my hand. The top buttons are clicky and I love the design and placement of modifier keys up top. It does take a little getting use to though, The modifier keys are a little more wobbly probably due to their larger size so you need to hit them in the center to trigger them properly. I really like the inclusion of the scroll wheel. Functionally it is great, while I haven't had any problems with it, the build does feel a little on the flimsy side, so only time will tell how long it will last. The ability to toggle 4 different modes is also great, since you can create different groups of shortcuts for the same app depending on your workflow. The one caveat is that I cannot get modifier keys to work on this device. So things like SHIFT, CONTROL, OPTION etc don't seem to function in the same way when assigned to the controller purely as a modifier key. This is why I took off one star. For something like Procreate, this isn't a big deal, but for CSP I'm forced to use the software sidebar with the modifier keys when I want to make more complex selections. This limits the type of work I choose to do on the iPad. This is especially true if you use the vector tools. Manipulating control points becomes a nightmare without the modifier keys. One last thing to note, this only partially works with MacOS. The buttons are fine but the wheel only scrolls in one direction regardless of which way you move it. I don't fault the company for this since they specifically say it's not verified for MacOS.
