Review summary

Users praise Golfity for its deep, actionable stats, especially strokes gained analytics and benchmark comparisons, delivered through a clear, ad-free interface. The app supports season-long progress tracking and data export, helping players identify weaknesses and focus on the present shot. However, reviewers repeatedly report reliability issues (loading delays, server loops, and crashes), bugs in scoring metrics (foot/meter distance mix-up and misclassified recovery shots), and a subscription model that some feel undermines value. Other common dislikes include lack of Apple Watch GPS support, inconsistent customer support, and outdated course data.
Pros
  • Deep, actionable stats and strokes gained analytics with benchmark comparisons.
  • Clear, intuitive ad-free interface that is easy to use for tracking rounds.
  • Exportable data and cross-benchmark comparisons to identify areas for improvement.
  • Helps players stay focused on the present shot and drive season-long performance insights.
Cons
  • Reliability and stability issues (loading delays, endless loops, connectivity problems).
  • Bugs in metrics and scoring (foot/meters distance mismatch for putts; misclassified recovery shots).
  • Subscription model with price concerns and lack of Apple Watch GPS support.
  • Customer support unresponsiveness or slow responses.
  • Course data is sometimes outdated/not updated (scorecards).

2026-04-09 Re***** If you are into your personal stats, this is a great app and worth the money. It does take some time to load every shot so I just use it as a baseline over the course of the year when I’m out playing by myself, especially when you are behind 2-4 golfers. Once the round is done, it shows you much of what the tour players see in their game and you know what part of your game needs improvement

This app is great but now has a subscription, which I would happily pay if there was an Apple Watch version w GPS so I don’t need to be constantly have my phone out during a round. The stats reports are simple, clear, useful! The putting metrics are fixed. Still love best shots and awful shots and the green/red color coding. None of the other solutions I tried presented this useful information so well, kudos! —————————- This app is pretty great. I love the metrics it gives you when tracking shot by shot. I would give it 5 stars except for a major defect in the putting metrics. I track by yards, and on the green it asks you how many feet away you are. At the end of the round it saves the data and calculates the metrics. Everything is good except the putting metrics think the feet distance I entered for putts on the green are meters! So if I one putt a 12 foot putt it shows that I sank a 12 meter (35 foot!) putt. Fix this and the app is easy 5 stars, though a report showing distance by club instead of distance to hole would be really nice. As it is, you need to do math to know how each hit was, i.e., how long you drove it off the tee, or how long you hit your 7 iron, etc.

2025-07-28 Le***** Fairly user friendly app with loads of data on pro version. However, I’ve had an issue with loading scores for the last week and there has been no customer support. They Have not responded to my questions.

2025-07-08 Co***** What use to be a great app is not plagued by everyday app. Subscriptions! People started using the app and get all the data for free…. But now you have to pay even if you were here before that. Should’ve offered a lifetime subscription rate. I’ll just move on and find an app or website that offers the same for free.

2025-05-01 T2***** App is stuck on “finding courses” and every once in a while “authenticating”. I’ve forced closed it several times and same thing happens each time. I sent an email to customer support with no response. Disappointing

2025-03-30 La***** I just started using this product so overall I’m pretty happy. A few function updates for the product backlog. 1. Proximity to the hole. 2. Distance of putts made per round (you can easily pull this data based in inputs). 3. Only use driver holes for average driving distance. If driver is not selected for the tee shot do not pull that shot into average driving distance as it throws it off.

2025-03-20 Co***** I am really enjoying the Golfity app. I’m only 3 rounds in with this app, but the app layout is intuitive and easy to use now that I’ve learned how to navigate the various screens. I love the way you can easily compare your strokes gained stats vs different benchmarks because this gives me added insight on where the skills differences are for instance between 5 handicap and 0 handicap golfers. Today I may have stumbled on a potential huge benefit of this app for me, but I need more rounds played to substantiate my hypothesis. I am finding that this app is helping me to focus on the current shot at hand as opposed to thinking about how I am doing on the hole, or how my overall round is going. I honestly didn’t know what my score was on either the front or back nine today until I typed shot by shot detail into golfity. By the way, I played 5-6 shots better than my handicap and it’s only round 3 of the season. If that added “focus in the present” turns out to be a consistent theme, this app is giving me much more benefit than stat tracking.
