Neighborhood Check

Neighborhood Check is a Chrome extension for house buyers and renters that reveals neighborhood insights before you decide. It aggregates population and demographic data across multiple geographies—county to census tract and block groups—covering race, birth countries, income, families, children, education levels, and more, and combines this with current crime data, school boundaries and test scores by group, and noise levels from airports, trains, and roads. The tool also lists Superfund and National Priority List sites, homeless shelters, electric transmission lines, and odor maps available for Milpitas/Bay Area; you can search any address and see nearby information. You can share an address from other apps like Redfin or Zillow. Coverage is focused on Bay Area, CA, with plans to expand nationwide.
