User Reviews

Crumblr is praised as a simple, privacy-focused Safari extension that blocks cookie popups on many sites and generally performs reliably. Users highlight ease of use, strong privacy (no data harvesting), and good performance, with it often preferred over alternatives. Downsides include incomplete coverage on some sites (Google/YouTube) and occasional site breaks (search fields, scrolling) when cookies are blocked.
Pros
  • Very effective at blocking cookie popups on many sites.
  • Simple and easy to use.
  • Privacy-focused: no data harvesting / personal information not collected.
  • Safari extension that integrates well with Safari.
  • Generally reliable and performs well across sites.
Cons
  • Does not block cookie prompts on all sites (e.g., Google, YouTube).
  • Blocking can break some site functionality (e.g., search fields, scrolling) on certain sites.

Exactly what I was looking for. An app that lets you block all the little nonsense that pops up on websites now adays without blocking ads or breaking the website.

Good, simple to use app. Very effective, I’ve not seen a cookie pop-up since I installed Crumblr. Only thing I’m missing is a toolbar icon/button, to disable Crumblr. Some websites don’t work well with removing the cookie pop-up and disable scrolling as a result. My current work-around is disabling “enable content blockers” in the website settings (gear icon), but this also disables my ad-blocker. If such a button were added it would be great. And a per-site option to disable Crumblr (also from the toolbar) would make it actually perfect.
