| 2025-07-20 | Al***** | Been to one event and it was super cool. You login and it matches you with the people there for mini dates, telling you where to meet, ringing when your time is up, and giving you the option to connect again. Can be confusing at first but it’s fun. Recommended. And so much better than swiping. | |

| 2025-03-21 | Mo***** | I had a lot of fun at the event but the app itself is very glitchy. There were times when my matches wouldn’t load so I ended up missing a connection. The idea of meeting at a set location is fun but, again, there were issues with locations being incorrect or already occupied by other people. I also would’ve appreciated more organization of the event in general. Having your phone volume up to notify you when your five minutes of chatting is done just isn’t conducive to having genuine conversations. I would’ve preferred a bell or a host to let everyone know when it’s time to switch. The ice breakers are not the greatest either. Very clunky and awkward but a few of my matches and I got a good laugh out of them so I guess not a total loss. Overall, this is a great idea and I think this concept can be successful with more fine tuning. | |

| 2025-03-16 | RT***** | Took a chance on this app. Showed up to a bar of 30+ men and only 3 women. Basically they ignored the app and just talked to the one or two men that were worth their time. It was a very depressing experience overall. | |

| 2025-02-16 | Oc***** | Used it for the first time recently and many parts of it were extremely refreshing compared to other dating apps. The idea of matching in person can be really fun but I have some feedback: 1) the 3 minute countdown timer between matches is way too long causing people to just awkwardly stand around looking at their phone for a large chunk of the social event. It should be 1 minute max. 2) 5 mins for each match is way too short given the app matches you with people who have similar interests as you so already have something to talk about for more than 5 minutes it should be 10 mins (with the option to end early and find a new match obviously) 3) Having limited match skips is important but 1 is way too few towards the end of the event I got into a never ending loop for “friend match” which I couldn’t get out of. It should be 3 (or proportional to the number of people at the event) 4) there should be an option to upload more than 1 photo it’s hard to get a breadth of another persons personality and who they are as a person from just 1 photo and 5 interests. Once matched users should be able to swipe through a “traditional dating profile” style page if they want to. 5) the prompts are a good idea but need to be improved and maybe much more catered to the shared interests of the match and pertinent to current events to allow easier conversation (eg: for shared music interest, it should be have a prompt about the recent Grammies winner etc) I genuinely had fun at this event and want to see this app succeed! It’s a good idea! 😊 | |

| 2025-02-15 | Ro***** | I really wanted to like the Shipp app and its dating event, but overall, I was disappointed. The concept is solid, but the execution needs a lot of improvement. Technical Issues & Lack of Support: The app itself is glitchy, which made the event less enjoyable. There was no staff available to assist with technical issues, and from what I heard from others, when they did find someone, the response was either unhelpful or dismissive. Notification Problems: The app is supposed to notify you when your time is up, but it only works if your phone screen is active and your volume is turned all the way up. If the whole point of the event is to get people off their phones and engaged in real-life conversations, then the app should be able to send a push notification that works even when the phone is in a pocket or purse. Event Structure & Check-In Issues: The event description made it seem more structured than it actually was. There was no clear check-in process, and there should have been better communication about when registration closed. For example, if the event starts at 2:00 PM but officially kicks off at 2:15, and you don’t want people registering after 2:20, that should be made clear in advance. Matching Process Flaws: When you are matched with someone, the app initially shows their picture for about three seconds and gives you one opportunity to cancel. Then, it directs you to their location and shows you their photo again. If the goal is to encourage meaningful connections beyond physical appearance, it would be better to remove the initial picture and simply direct people to the meetup spot first. Safety & Comfort Concerns: There should be an option to discreetly flag a conversation if you feel uncomfortable. While the app allows you to report a match before even meeting them, it would be far more useful to have a “red flag” option during the interaction, allowing participants to exit a conversation early if needed. Final Thoughts: The idea behind this event has potential, but the poor execution left me disappointed and not wanting to give it another try. With some major improvements—better app functionality, clearer event organization, and a stronger focus on participant comfort and safety—this could be a great experience. Unfortunately, as it stands, I can’t recommend it. | |

| 2025-01-09 | si***** | Fun but i wish there was a better way to know when it was time switch people without it feeling awkward to leave. I feel like i missed so many potential matches because i just didnt know my phone was going off. | |
