User Reviews

Reviewers overwhelmingly praise Peridot for its cute, diverse pets and calming breeding-based gameplay, with strong emotional attachment. However, a dominant concern is the announced shutdown and the lack of clear communication, plus the desire for an offline mode. Age-rating inconsistencies and login problems also hinder access for some players. Overall sentiment is affectionate but anxious about continuity and future access.

Pros

Adorable, diverse Peridots with a unique breeding system.
Relaxing, peaceful gameplay that's non-competitive.
Strong emotional appeal and suitability for players who can't have real pets.
Long-term engagement and attachment to their pets.

Cons

Shutdown/closure fear - many reviews express sadness and concern about the game ending.
Desire for an offline/off-server version so players can continue without a live server.
Age-rating contradictions and login/account issues making the game inaccessible for some players.
