Hero: Donating Reinvented

Love this app easy to use and makes giving so much fun

I want to share my experience so fellow creators can protect themselves and secure payment before starting work with Hero (beaherotoday.com / Hero: Donating Reinvented app). After connecting and agreeing to move forward on August 27th on a UGC collab, we drafted/shared scripts and one was selected on Sept 8th that we filmed on Sept 10th and asked for payment before sharing to protect our time investment. On September 15, 2025, Hero confirmed in writing their agreement to a split payment structure: “We’d be happy to work with you under a split payment structure (for example, 50% upfront and 50% upon delivery/approval of content)… This ensures fairness for both sides and keeps everything transparent.” Despite this, no payment was made. After multiple follow-ups, Hero stated on September 22, 2025: “Hey, our team decided to move in a different direction, but I truly appreciate your time and effort.” This was after scripts had been drafted, approved, filmed, and edited. 🚨 Key Takeaway for Creators If approached by Hero (Hero: Donating Reinvented / beaherotoday.com), ensure payment is secured before starting work. What an amazing idea. Will be exclusively giving via Hero from here on out! Giving in-kind just makes sense, and to know that every dollar I give translates to a dollar in value for someone in need is so much more satisfying than writing a check!
