Features & Capabilities

Turn your iPhone into a universal TV remote. TV Remote supports Roku, Samsung, LG, Fire TV, Vizio and more, with auto-detect on the same WiFi and full control of volume, inputs, and power—without fishing for a physical remote.

Getting started is quick: connect your iPhone and TV to the same network, let the app automatically detect your TV, and start controlling it right away. Regular updates expand compatibility and features for an even smoother viewing experience.

User Reviews

The app is handy as a remote replacement and performs well once connected, but its value is hurt by pervasive ads, subscription pricing, and inconsistent setup/connectivity that can block initial pairing.
Pros
  • Can act as a replacement when the physical remote is lost or unavailable.
  • When it connects, the app is smooth, fast, and the TV controls work reliably.
  • Generally delivers solid basic remote functionality for everyday TV control.
Cons
  • Heavy and disruptive ads, including audible ads, interrupting usage.
  • Pricing model leans toward subscription rather than a one-time purchase, which many users dislike.
  • Initial setup often requires a physical remote to approve the connection on the TV, making it hard to pair if the remote is unavailable.
  • Some users report unreliable connectivity or not working on their TVs despite being on the same Wi‑Fi.

Downloaded this remote because my 3 year old lost my remote. When I went to connect the remote to TV over WiFi, it required me to have a remote to select accept on the TV. If you do not have a remote, it requires you to use the buttons on the actual tv. I don’t have buttons on my tv nor do I have a remote to accept the connection. Maybe create technology to have to enter your WiFi password to connect to the tv.
