Recent reviews

MoviePass is simply not worth the headache or the expense. First, the economics don't add up: buying regular tickets directly from the cinema sometimes costs less out of pocket. Second, their pricing is deceptive. When checking out, the app tacked on a 7-credit surcharge, making the transaction far more expensive than advertised. Finally, when you decide to cancel, your unused credits are instantly forfeited rather than rolling over. So even though i have 33 credits, and the ticket cost 28, the extra 7 credits makes it impossible to buy, and you cant just pay the difference yourself unless you want to buy significantly more credits. Support was completely unhelpful when I reached out. Save your money and skip this scam.

When it works it’s great. But too often there is a technical problem and it declines, I end up having to buy the ticket with my normal credit card. Paying for a service that often doesn’t work.
