User Reviews

HabitKit is praised for its clean, attractive UI and satisfying grid-based progress visuals, ease of setup, and useful widgets. It works well offline with optional Pro features and a one-time payment option. Major drawbacks cited by multiple users are the lack of cloud synchronization across devices and the free tier’s feature limits, which push some users toward Pro. Common requests include per-habit long-term views and more customization options.
Pros
  • Clean, minimal UI with a visually satisfying grid-based progress view.
  • Easy to set up and use with flexible daily/weekly/monthly goals and multi-instance counting.
  • Widget support and home-screen updates for quick check-ins.
  • Data stays on-device with no ads, and there’s a one-time payment option alongside a Pro tier.
  • Developer responsiveness and ongoing improvements.
Cons
  • No cloud sync across devices (data is stored only on the device).
  • Free tier limits the number of habits and features; many advanced capabilities require Pro.
  • Some requested features remain missing (per-habit long-term view toggle, more color/theme customization, broader emoji/color options).

This is the best habit tracking app I’ve ever used. It perfectly manages the balance of robust features without needless over complication. I love how visual and aesthetic the whole app is and how flexible it is. Highly recommend!!

I've tried several habit tracking apps but this was the one I decided to purchase and use for almost 6 months atp. It's by far the most simplistic of the apps in its category, but that's what's drawn me to it and kept me in it. If I do the thing, it's easy to open the app and quickly mark it. If I need to do it multiple times a day, I set it up in the advanced options. I don't care much about the analytics of my habits but I really appreciate the different week, month, ytd viewing options. I think some improvements could be made with managing categories/labels, but anything else would generally take away from the minimalism of habitkit that i so deeply appreciate. It's been such a help for my mental health. Thank you!
