Features & Capabilities

Superfan was built to make music personal again. Streaming made everything available, but it left us distant from the artists we love and the friends we used to share music with. Superfan is a home for your music life—your stats, your concerts, your vinyl, and your friends.

Join 500,000 fans using Superfan to track their music lives and show up for moments that matter. Features include automatic listening tracking from Spotify and Apple Music, conversations about what friends are hearing, weekly recaps of top artists and songs, full artist histories, concert and vinyl logging, and private groups where you can tag friends and earn awards for top listeners. With Superfan, your listening history tells your story and helps you show up for the moments that matter.

User Reviews

Users praise Superfan for its weekly social music recaps and strong group features, with a fun concept and easy sharing of friends' listening. However, many reviews flag repeated UI/usability changes, data inaccuracies, and occasional data loss after updates. Other recurring concerns include removal of features (like queued songs) and paid tiers for basic stats, plus limited support for streaming services. The core appeal remains, but reliability and consistency need improvement.
Pros
  • Weekly music recap for you and your friends.
  • Social/group features to see friends' listening activity and share in groups or chats.
  • Fun and engaging concept for music hobbyists.
  • Ability to log concerts and create a music bookshelf to track physical media.
  • Consistent updates and responsive support that have improved the app over time.
Cons
  • Frequent and confusing UI/UX changes that make navigation and locating groups or weekly recaps harder.
  • Data inaccuracies in listening stats and artist counts (recaps can be inaccurate).
  • Data loss after updates (groups history and personal listening history can disappear).
  • Removal of useful features like queued songs and the push toward paid features for basic stats.
  • Limited streaming-service integration (not all apps are supported) and desire for broader platform compatibility.

It’s a cool app and a cool concept. I like that they have a second for all ur cd’s and vinyls and stuff, but I do have one problem with this app… It just does not sync properly to Spotify (and I’m guessing other music platforms?) so on a band i actually have like 2k+ minutes streamed it’s saying I have 5 minutes 😭😭😭

So far so good just want to find more similar people to connect with music-wise. Solid app though, exactly what I’ve been wanting!
