Many users praise Alphatrak for charting and PDF reporting of glucose data. However, repeated issues with data loss after updates, Bluetooth pairing/timeouts, and difficulties exporting or sharing data dominate the experience. App updates often trigger syncing failures or wipes, and account setup/login problems further hinder use. Overall reliability concerns outweigh the positive features for most users.

Pros

Charting/graphing capability for glucose curves that can be created quickly and shared with a veterinarian
PDF reports and easy sharing of glucose data with a vet
Data tracking that links to the AlphaTrak meter for BG readings and insulin doses

Cons

Frequent data loss or complete data wipes after updates, causing loss of months of records
Bluetooth pairing issues and timeouts, making device sync unreliable
Inability to export data or charts (or repeated failures when exporting/sharing), hindering reporting to vets
App updates causing syncing failures or data loss, sometimes rendering the app non-functional
Profile/login problems, including inability to create a profile or input an email, and account access issues

Recent reviews

This is a good app but there needs to be a way to manually enter reading numbers. I’ve had issues with it connecting sometimes and it doesn’t save the entry to the dog. I can’t go back and put that particular entry with the dog it’s for. Figure out manual entry.
