User Reviews

Reviews praise Superliminal for its innovative, mind-bending puzzle ideas and striking visuals, with addictive, rewarding gameplay. However, many users report major drawbacks on mobile and with monetization: clunky touch controls, no universal controller support, confusing button prompts, motion sickness, a difficult learning curve, and pay-per-chapter pricing. The mobile version is valued, but control and cost issues limit the overall experience for several players.
Pros
  • Innovative perspective-based puzzles with visually impressive atmosphere.
  • Challenging yet highly engaging and rewarding gameplay; many players say it's worth the price.
  • Free trial/level option and mobile version broaden accessibility.
  • Striking concept and atmosphere that many players rate as among the best.
Cons
  • Touchscreen controls and mobile usability are awkward or poorly implemented.
  • Lack of universal controller support and mismatched button prompts across platforms.
  • Motion sickness or nausea from the visual effects.
  • Very challenging with a steep learning curve and minimal or no tutorial.
  • Per-chapter purchases/paywall to unlock the full game.

Great Game, It messes with me in ways I don’t even understand. But Level 3, Cubism, has a lot of untapped potential. Most of its new mechanics aren’t used in any other level. I get why Somnasculpt Workshop isn’t here, steam limitations, but multiplayer isn’t here and that doesn’t make sense. If it was here, I’d really love if I could play the sections in battle royal I choose, alone sort of like a training mode.

Me encanta como se miran los objetos y que podamos jugar gratis. Lo que me encanta es como lo hicieron es súper divertido y genial!

The game was very hard, yet somehow very entertaining. It took me probably... like, a year to beat it. I loved the developer's commentary mode, I just wish that I found the nook in Optical faster. I also saw a red pawn that... happy exploded when I tapped on it, I just wasn't sure what that was and was wondering if you guys could tell me.
