User Reviews

The Approach is highly praised for driving weight loss and health improvements through a coach-supported, fasting-based program and a supportive community. Reviewers emphasize its easy-to-follow structure and sustainability. However, multiple reviews point to the app’s weak UI/UX, with small fonts and clutter, and a few note initial navigation challenges.
Pros
  • Significant weight loss and health improvements (diabetes control, cholesterol, energy) across users.
  • Knowledgeable, accessible coaches provide accountability and guidance.
  • Strong community support (Approach family, Facebook group) that shares recipes and encouragement.
  • Fasting-based approach (16/8) framed as a sustainable lifestyle rather than a diet.
  • Easy to follow program with clear structure and personalized feedback.
Cons
  • Poor app UI/UX readability and navigation issues (small font, text cutoff, popups, disorganized layout).
  • Some users find the initial use or navigation confusing or difficult when trying to grocery shop within the app.

This honestly was one of the most difficult apps I have ever used. They make it so complex to grocery’s shop, they have no list of ingredients to go grocery shopping that you can print some of the recipes are amazing and some are very lackluster. I ended up following someone else on TikTok. And did intermittent fasting and lost so much weight without intermittent fasting. Also after paying, I reached back out on the live to ask a question about having more recipes because I don’t eat fish and there’s certain vegetables I don’t eat and I was met with Adam’s typical sarcasm about not being able to choose from 300 recipes, if you choose this app do monthly subscription don’t invest in six months like I did and be stuck

In five short weeks, I basically have my diabetes under control. I have a coach that monitors my food logs each and every day and we have chats about potential food I wanna buy and if it is program safe. I’m so thankful for all of the support from the community and sharing recipes and their own stories.
