I can’t view anything without viewing a different spot and I can’t place a note where i want it to be and view it at all so if you are willing use it even though you it’s not really any help at all

I thought the map wasn’t loading right and it was a black empty space but it’s just really dark. Symbols are correct brightness but I can’t tell the layout of the map at all. How can I fix the brightness to use this? iPhone 7
