User Reviews

Tile Busters is a fun, addictive match-3 puzzle with growing challenge and helpful power-ups, plus long-term appeal and occasional solid support. However, reviewers repeatedly cite an ad-heavy experience, progression that leans toward paid help, persistent crashes and loading problems, repetitive content, and long-delayed feature updates (notably card trading). The game has a loyal base and strong concept, but execution at times undermines the experience.
Pros
  • Engaging and progressively challenging match-3 puzzle gameplay that stays interesting.
  • Helpful power-ups and rewards, including ad-based bonuses and free gifts.
  • Long-running game with years of content and a loyal community.
  • Social/team play aspect offers collaborative play.
  • Generally positive customer support experience when issues arise.
Cons
  • Excessive and often unskippable ads disrupt gameplay and monetization feels heavy.
  • Progression can feel pay-to-win, with many levels hard to beat without purchases.
  • Crashes, freezes, and loading issues that reset progress or lock you out of levels.
  • Content can feel repetitive with few fresh towns or new cards over time.
  • Key features like card trading are repeatedly listed as Coming Soon for years.

Very interesting sometimes unfair but keeps my mind very occupied

Every time I land on a bonus card, I continually receive the same blue star tiles, usually 1-3 star tiles that I have already. Why is Tile busters so stingy with coughing up their 5-star yellow tiles even in Jumbo packs? I have been playing for a long time and can’t seem to make much headway in completing packs. I have 7 to go I believe, all 5 Star which can’t be traded, not that I would know how! Also, explain the rules of the Carnival please. I can’t seem to get the hang of the hammer game. Nothing worse than seeing an aspect of the game without rules. Update: game now crashes in the middle of gameplay. It has done it many times over the past 6 months or so, even with updates. When it does, it is infuriating. I will be at a high level in game play, i.e. mid 100s and suddenly the game will go black then back to my iPad Home Screen. Opening app back up thrown me back to the bottom at Level 1 to start over my climb to the top! Bummer! Again, TB is stingy with it’s yellow 5-star cards. I have actually finished all game levels of playing (all worlds), and it has started over. It added 2 new worlds, and in the middle of those, my game play froze after completed 3 1/2 objects in the “world”, and I am stuck there. Although it allows me to continue playing, I can’t complete the set of 5. Again, frustrating and confusing. I may delete the game. It is no longer relaxing. Beginning to give me a headache and sometimes anxiety! I shouldn’t allow something so trivial as a game to do that. An addiction, I suppose! Has anyone else encountered this? Is there a patch?
