User Reviews

Flick is praised for being simple and fast, making it easy to transfer photos, videos, contacts, and other files between iPhone, iPad, and Mac—an effective AirDrop alternative. Reviewers appreciate the cross-device flow and offline transfer options (Bluetooth/Wi-Fi). The experience is described as fun, with tic-tac-toe. However, downsides recur: media is compressed, reducing quality with no clear way to preserve original resolution; saving to the Camera Roll is not straightforward; reliability is inconsistent (crashes, devices not detected), and the UI can feel clunky.
Pros
  • Very easy and fast to transfer files across devices.
  • Works across iPhone, iPad, and Mac, serving as a strong AirDrop alternative.
  • Supports offline transfers via Bluetooth/Wi‑Fi.
  • Fun and engaging to use (features like tic‑tac‑toe).
  • Can transfer a range of file types, including photos, videos, and contacts.
Cons
  • Media quality is reduced due to compression; no easy option to preserve original resolution.
  • Saving media directly to the Camera Roll is not straightforward or sometimes not possible.
  • Reliability issues: crashes, inability to detect other devices, lag during transfers.
  • Clunky UI with extra steps; sometimes requires transferring items one by one.
  • Some connectivity issues and device compatibility limitations across setups.
