User Reviews

LiveTunes delivers a convincing live-concert experience across many venues with strong playback features and good value, plus accessibility praise from blind users. However, its stability issues, DRM/streaming restrictions, modest sound controls, some UI/venue realism inconsistencies, and limited accessibility for certain controls are recurring concerns across reviews. Overall, it's a standout concept with room for fixes and feature enhancements.
Pros
  • Realistic live-concert feel with crowd noise, applause, and cues.
  • Many venues and effects with seamless crossfade between tracks.
  • Background playback and screen-off support.
  • Good value for money and ongoing updates from the developer.
  • Accessibility for blind users, with positive feedback on overall usability.
Cons
  • Frequent crashes and instability (app closes when selecting songs or during use).
  • Streaming/DRM limitations: cannot play Apple Music or other streaming service content.
  • Limited sound customization: basic EQ, lack of wet/dry control and bass processing.
  • UI/venue realism issues: some menus display incorrectly and some venues sound too similar or not realistic.
  • Accessibility limitations for certain controls (e.g., 3D Spatial sliders not accessible).

I've been using this app since I was in high school, so over 10 years. I used to use it to simulate seeing my favorite J-pop group, Perfume, live at the Tokyo Dome. And I still love using this app so much today. All of the new features are really great. I've even subscribed to VIP. But my one issue that's holding me back from giving it a full five stars is the use of gen AI imagery. It's really off-putting to see the use of generative AI, which is so harmful to artistry and the environment, being used in an app that is supposed to celebrate musical artists. That's all. I feel like it would be much better to just use stock images, because the AI looks kind of messy. Otherwise, it's a great app.

I really love this app a lot except I hate that the sliders for the 3D Spatial part of the app where you can extend the room size and a lot of the other options in there, is not accessible. I’m totally blind and I really need access to all parts of tis app. Is there a way for you to fix that? Thanks!
