ABOUT VERBAL REASONING

There are 164 grammar schools in England, and around 95% set Verbal Reasoning tests as part of their selection process. Most independent schools also use Verbal Reasoning in 11+ format. The most common tests are administered by GL Assessment using NFER-style questions, and there are 21 recognized question types — most papers contain around 80 questions drawn from a selection of these.
