Modern banking apps favor clean minimal designs with good spacing and clear hierarchy. FAIRWINDS instead packs dense outdated elements that ignore today’s iOS design expectations, such as liquid glass, if nothing else. Performance makes things worse. The app feels slow and laggy even on my iPhone 17 Pro. Loading accounts or transactions takes too long. Navigation stutters and refreshes drag. Everyday tasks become annoying when users expect quick reliable access in 2026. The user experience puts promotions first in my experience. Ads and reward offers clutter the main screen and require extra taps to dismiss. Navigation choices like pushing Zelle ahead of regular transfers disrupt normal flows. Simple actions such as viewing account details need more steps than they should due to poor organization. High average ratings hide these repeated complaints about the outdated look, sluggish speed, and promotional push. The app works for occasional use but frustrates regular banking. FAIRWINDS needs a full UI refresh, better optimization, and removal of intrusive ads to meet expectations set by better financial apps. Right now it falls short of the credit unions other services.
