User Reviews

Overall, users praise Food Network GO for live streaming and access to Food Network content and the ability to save recipes. However, repeated issues center on intrusive ads and a major update that removed or hid saved recipes and complicated search and navigation. Several users report that saved recipes disappeared after the update, that they cannot easily search by episode, or access their saved recipe board. Others note not all shows or episodes are available on the app. Some users still enjoy streaming quality, but sentiment is largely frustrated by changes, ads, and missing features.
Pros
  • Live streaming on the go
  • Ability to save and bookmark recipes
  • Access to a large library including older shows
  • Generally smooth streaming and user experience
Cons
  • Intrusive, long, and repetitive ads
  • Loss of saved recipes and recipe board after update; difficulty finding recipes and episodes
  • Incomplete content library; not all shows/episodes available on the app
  • Changed search/navigation makes content hard to find

I love going back and watching old cooking shows and then going online and saving recipes. I have a few complaints though. Why aren’t all the Food Network shows on the app? Brunch with Bobby? 30 Minute Meals? And some episodes are missing from the shows they do have. The website has been reformatted also. I used to search by episode and save the recipes from the episode I was watching that way, but now I have to search by specific recipes who can is annoying. The ads are super annoying too. Not the fact that there are ads, but the ads themselves are annoying and they’re for gambling, dating and personal hygiene products and they are often repeated an obnoxious amount of times.

Very frustrated and disappointed. Where are all my save recipes and how can I look at new recipes on shows?

These guys have two apps now, one for the print magazine (which makes no sense), and one for their TV shows. I am here for the joy of food, not for watching overly produced fake dramatic cooking contests. Absolutely zero access to my recipes, really??!!!
