2013-05-23	Pa*****		A good start but not very useful. The only software defect I found was that the button to load PPD was dim making it look like it was not selectable. The real issue is that it doesn't really do anything useful. If it's an emergency I'll call 911. It's not clear if the "call" button is for non-emergencies or something else. Someone who wants to make an anonymous tip is not going to do it from their own cell no matter what the app says. Reading mission statements, old news releases, and group photos has little value. For the next release how about something really useful, for example: 1. Tell me if I'm in a safe area - tell me how many reports of assaults and burglaries there have been in the last three months within 10 blocks of my current position so I know if it's safe to walk 4 blocks in the dark to a cafe or to rent an apartment/buy a home. 2. Tell me if it's safe to go outside when I hear sirens and a helicopter circling overhead ( or tell me to lock the door and shelter in place). These features would be great in a metro area and are the only reason I'd use an app like this.
