Users rate StormTracker 6 highly for accuracy and useful severe-weather alerts, plus daily/hourly Forecasts and maps. The main downsides are intrusive ads, persistent map/radar and location issues, mis-targeted alerts, and performance/UI problems after updates. Overall, it’s still a valuable weather source, but many want fewer ads, better location accuracy, and a smoother, faster experience.

Generally useful and easy to use, with signs of improvement over time.

Cons

Intrusive ads, especially unskippable video ads, disrupt viewing.
Map/radar problems including non-working maps, overly fast radar traces, and inaccurate locations.
Alerts frequently targeted at the wrong location or region.
New UI adds clutter and lag due to heavy graphics and layout changes.
Frequent glitches, lag, and occasional crashes.

Latest upgrade has no positive additions that I can find, and the radar trace is so fast it is unusable.

This update seems to cause emergency alerts to be very slow to post to the top of the page, and also removed the extended info about them from the bottom of the screen (at least I haven’t found them). The ability to create a map with overlays is clumsy, and you have to specifically select it each time you open it (my experience). Interesting that two supposedly competing weather stations have the exact same app, just rebranded. Not liking the update.
