I’m only spending a few weeks in Türkiye, I don’t want to learn Turkish, but do want to be able to say a few simple words and phrases. This app is not only free, but perfectly set up to allow me to do that. They have selected the 10 most useful words and the 50 most useful words as well as methods for learning more. I don’t even think I’ll get to 50 words so this is perfect for me.

I absolutely love this app! It's the best for learning vocabulary. There are many different options within it. You can change the speed the words are spoken at, the pause before giving you the answer, the voices, the topics you're focusing on, & more. Yet the way it comes automatically was perfect for me. Each individual word you can adjust as to how frequently you want to see that one. If you know a word, you can turn it off. One you're having difficulty with, you can turn up. You can switch between all your active words,Or focus on food, travel, greetings, etc. I've sent feedback asking if they can add the option to hear the foreign language first. Sometimes recognizing words is as challenging as trying to speak. It's still a five star app for sure!!
