2019-04-30 SL***** I like this app and all that it offers. There are several pictures, option to see the pic or word, a help button that claps out the syllables, and a cool theme. I like the addition of tapping the window, but I think an even more helpful cue would be something like four small windows that you could tap, maybe they would light up when you tap and that way they have a visual.

2017-08-15 Pi***** There is only 1 activity with no apparent goal, endlessly asking the same "question" and no help for wrong answers. There's no learning, only mindless quizzing. A total waste of money.

2015-03-12 SL***** In my rush to buy this (and it wasn't inexpensive) - I guess I didn't do my homework...I am disappointed that there is no way for kids to actually tap something and get rewarded for the correct number of taps. Instead, they have to choose a number which is not as reinforcing and can be too hard for the preschool crowd. The developers should add this feature at this price.

2013-11-07 Al***** Love this simple app for practice with syllable awareness. I would prefer to have the number choices in order (1, 2, 3, 4). Please include an option to turn off randomization of the numbers when they are all visible in the next update. Thanks!

2013-09-15 Ch***** This is a good app, but I would go beyond having the chid identify the number of syllables. I would have several settings, one with the model of the word for the child to repeat, one with a partial model, and another with a sentence frame (with or without an initial sound or syllable prompt) to elicit the word from the child.

2013-06-09 Ki***** My students get really into this app and love the shark "eating" the incorrect answers. I just wish the numbers were a different font so they were easier to recognize for early readers and didn't move each time, which can confuse my students. I've also noticed some regional pronunciation issues which can change the number of syllables (i.e. "chocolate cake" can either be 3 or 4 syllables, depending on how you say it). Otherwise it's great!
