User Reviews

Users overall enjoy Heads Up! as a fun, family-friendly party game, especially for kids and car trips. However, many reviews point to a high cost with pay-to-unlock content, limited free decks, and heavy in-app purchasing. Technical issues like bugs and crashes are common, reducing reliability. Disney-related free features are frequently unreliable or misleading, adding to frustration. The combination of value concerns and instability leads to a largely mixed sentiment despite the core gameplay being enjoyable.
Pros
  • Fun and family-friendly; great for car rides and kids.
  • Core game mechanics work and offer a simple, engaging party game.
  • Offers a variety of decks/themes for ongoing play and long-term engagement.
Cons
  • Expensive: initial price plus frequent in-app purchases to unlock most content; feels like a cash grab.
  • Limited free content; only a few free decks and many packs require payment; ads push buying more.
  • Bugs and instability: stalls, freezes, crashes, and inconsistent voice recognition.
  • Disney/free access features are unreliable or misleading, with free Disney decks often not accessible.

Disappointed. Purchased the app to have fun in the cues at Disney. After purchasing you have to pay for each pack. You do get a free disney pack if you are physically in the park but it’s not good for young kids. there’s no easy way to search for packs if you are looking for a specific topic. Overall the app was unusable unless you want to spend more and more money. Found a free app that is much better online called Wait Up! Free and easy to use!!!! Do not waste your money on this.

This app use to be great and easy to use. Now, the app itself cost. I bit the bullet and paid for it to play with friends. Once downloaded I found nothing but a bunch of card deck not able to be used unless you pay MORE money, besides few free decks you get. The app is greedy now and not very user friendly.
