User Reviews

The app’s core idea and clean design are praised, but frequent complaints focus on monetization barriers (paywalls and subscriptions for basic units), ads, an unusable reference-object method, and accuracy issues. Users also report glitches and feature removals after updates, undermining reliability. Overall, the concept and visuals are liked, but paid access and reliability concerns dominate.
Pros
  • Handy two-unit ruler (inches and centimeters) with a simple, easy-to-use interface.
  • Sharp, professional-looking graphics.
  • Privacy-friendly feel (users note it doesn’t appear to collect data).
Cons
  • In-app paywalls to access inches/centimeters, often via subscriptions or upfront upgrades.
  • Ads in the free version and perceived high cost of upgrades.
  • Reference object measurement feature is unusable or impractical.
  • Measurements can be inaccurate (reported off by up to ~10%).
  • Updates/monetization changes remove features or cause glitches, frustrating users.

This dev wants you to pay for inches. He can take 12 inches right up his @$$

The app has very sharp and professional looking graphics, which is what made me think I should take a risk on buying the application. Unfortunately the reference object concept is completely unusable. If I want to get a measurement it has to be something small enough that you can drag lines around to mark a reference object. Really? Am I supposed to tape a quarter to the side of my garage and then try to zoom in enough to put the reference lines on the quarter? I believe they are simply counting on the fact that you can't get a refund and even if you could wouldn't go through the hassle for $1.99. Don't bother.

I have used this handy ruler with inches on one side + centimeters on the other. Very handy! Now it only shows centimeters on both sides. If I still want inches I must pay a regular fee. Uh—no. I need no special features; just a simple ruler. I’m deleting it.
