User Reviews

Reviewers largely miss Covet Fashion’s original designer-brand fashion and long-running community, but consistently criticize recent changes. Repeated themes: AI-generated clothes replacing real designers; heavier monetization with diamonds to enter challenges; removal of brands and modern body diversity; frequent glitches and poor support; and UI regressions after updates. These issues—along with data problems and questionable refunds—color the experience negatively, though some users still love the fashion aspect and the nostalgia of playing for years.
Pros
  • Long-time players have nostalgia for the game and still feel a sense of enjoyment and attachment.
  • Fun, high-quality fashion outfits and styling options that users enjoy when the app is working well.
  • A large closet/collection with progression features (e.g., noticeable collection size and status levels).
  • Historically, the game featured real designer brands and high-fashion, a major draw for players.
Cons
  • AI-generated outfits and content replacing real designers/brands, leading to repetitive, less creative fashion.
  • Heavy monetization with diamonds to enter challenges and overall pay-to-play feel, including expensive items and rewards.
  • Loss of designer brands and diversity with Covet Basics and removal of outside brands, reducing authenticity.
  • Frequent glitches, bugs, and poor customer support, including data issues and unhelpful responses.

I've been playing for years now, and I love this game. But I only love it when I can participate in the challenges. They've made it hard to participate because a lot of them require for you to use your diamonds for the required purchases. I wish there was more of a balance between spending cash and diamonds in order to participate in the challenges. Not to mention, it's crazy the amount of levels you need to get thru to unlock the new hairstyles and makeup. Sometimes I feel like I'll never get there without spending my actual money on diamonds and prop packs, and hair accessories 😔

This game used to be my favorite. Now it’s full of ai slop and is no longer fun. Covet used to have the coolest partnerships with clothing brands and you could even access real clothes through the app! Now every article of clothing is by “covet basics” which is just ai slop that all looks the same and is overpriced. I miss the old covet where it was real brands and actual models, where everything was unique. My favorite 5 star game quickly became a 1 star game. I am extremely disappointed covet.

I have played this game since I was a kid. I used to love it, and still would if it weren’t for a couple changes I’ve noticed lately. Firstly, the use of AI is very upsetting. As a creative, I cannot stand the usage of AI in art. I’ve noticed a lot of the recent challenge images are generated using AI. It’s frustrating when a game marketed as a creative medium is utilizing the very tool taking over the artistic field. Secondly, Covet Basics. The game used to have so many clothing options partnered with real world designs, allowing you to experiment with all sorts of clothing. However, Covet Basics has become the standard brand of clothing on the game. The clothes are designed to fit the mold of what’s trending, they’re uninspiring, and typically have one use and one use only. Lastly, the lack of diversity. The game previously introduced Modern models, which I seriously loved. This setting allowed the game to be more diverse, and each challenge became more unique. By taking away this feature, the game has become more dull and less interesting to the viewer. I seriously love Covet Fashion. If it weren’t for these three issues, the game would be my favorite. However, I’ve lost interest and am saddened by the way things are progressing.
