I’m shocked that the developers have made zero improvements to this app in the past year and a half I’ve had the vehicle. It makes me want to buy another brand. Lately, every time I start the vehicle, it launches the app on my phone. Annoying. Remote start works probably 50% of the time (while in strong cellular areas). Support claims it must be a signal strength issue yet they won’t allow the vehicle to just connect to my home wifi where it could have an excellent signal and not have to relay through internet servers at all! If you turn off Acura’s spying (privacy setting) there is a banner across the top of the app (that’s not dismissible) saying enabling it allows for more features. Yet all features seem to work with the setting disabled. Ie the banner is just an annoyance. The app never seems to refresh when opened. I have to manually pull down to trigger a refresh every time. I really can’t believe I paid money to have this broken app. Fix it!

Opening the app is quick. But that’s it. Trying to refresh the car status takes ages (and often times out). Trying to use the options (lock/unlock, start vehicle, etc.) is a waste of time. By the time the app connects to the vehicle, I’m already using my key fob because I am standing beside the car.

I tried logging in to check my VIN without having to go to my car. The app now says my 6-year-old car is no longer supported! This app was one of the selling points of the car, and now I can't even look up my product information or schedule maintenance any more, let alone all the fancy subscription features. If you're interested in Acura and would want to use app, don't expect them to support it for 5+ years. Acura may be known for their long lasting cars, but they certainly aren't acting like it.
