Pros

Important mission to preserve cemetery history; volunteers can contribute by photographing and transcribing.

Cons

Login/account issues (wrong password and password reset problems).
Poor UX/UI and navigation (white-on-white text, placeholders that aren’t real links, hard-to-find features).
Uploading is slow and battery-draining; app must stay open to upload; occasional upload failures.
Search/findability in large cemeteries is difficult (lots of scrolling; hard to type in targets).
Stability issues and platform bugs (crashes/kicks-out; not working well on iPad).

Recent reviews

I found the Billion Graves app on the Just Serve app a couple weeks ago. It is so interesting who to the cemeteries. There are so many in my area that need photos taken. It’s easy to use. Just taking photos like you normally would.

There are many things to like about building Graves. Their GPS is fairly good although I’ve gone to one cemetery and looked for the gravesite and it says I’m standing but it’s not there. I have a paid subscription and I have to watch. Let the app has me as advanced rather than basic. This causes a lot of wasted time and grief if you are advanced, it should leave that alone. If you’re standing in the cemetery and asked for directions, it should figure out where you are and not give you directions from your home.
