User Reviews

Users praise iBible-Study HD for its rich, free toolkit of bibles, dictionaries, commentaries, and cross-referencing, plus easy navigation and on-page access to multiple resources. However, many reviews note download failures, stability issues after updates, and concerns that the app is not being maintained. Some features advertised by others (like Word Modules) fail to work, and key resources such as interlinear Bibles or foreign-language dictionaries are missing. Overall, powerful but sometimes unreliable or poorly supported.
Pros
  • Extensive study tools: multiple Bible versions, dictionaries, commentaries, cross-references, and study guides.
  • Free and feature-rich compared with paid apps.
  • Easy to navigate with strong highlighting and note-taking.
  • Cross-resource integration: view Bible, dictionary, and commentary on one page and strong cross-referencing.
Cons
  • Content/resources sometimes fail to download (bibles, commentaries, etc.).
  • Stability issues: app crashes or becomes unstable after updates.
  • Perceived lack of ongoing maintenance; app appears abandoned by its developer.
  • Rough UI in places (small/uniform buttons, visible usability rough edges).
  • Some features either don't work or are missing or not implemented as advertised (e.g., Word Modules, interlinear Bibles, Strong's dictionaries in Spanish).

Without a doubt, the worst Bible program ever. They advertise you can add The Word Modules. You can add them but they never work. Maybe it us my iPad but they do not work. Do not advertise something that}t never works.

Thank God there is a “theword” compatible iPad app. Having said that, there are a lot of rough edges. The buttons need to be bigger and more uniform. Cross referencing also needs to be universal, especially with user notes. It needs work, but it’s better than nothing.
