User Reviews

Users find ImageResize workable for basic resizing, with easy controls and useful export options, but the app is hampered by crashes, photo-selection failures, heavy ads, and pricing concerns. The core strengths are simple use, size/quality control, and saving/sharing capabilities; the major drawbacks are stability, selection usability, intrusive monetization, and unclear pricing/value in some reviews.
Pros
  • Easy to use and intuitive interface
  • Precise control over output size/quality (target resolution and compression) with visible file size
  • Save and export options (save to Camera Roll; share via Messages/Email)
  • Free to use (at least in the reviewed version)
Cons
  • Crashes frequently and unstable; saving resized images often fails
  • Cannot select photos or edit due to selection issues (cannot pick images to resize)
  • Aggressive ads and lack of a clear ad-free option
  • Pricing/subscription concerns and perceived value (costs and plans)

the previous version of app worked perfectly with limited access to photo library. Unfortunately that version has been invalidated by developer. The new versions require FULL access to your private photo library, obviously to steal metadata and sell it to advertisers

This app used to be quick and handy. Now there’s full sized ads you have to dismiss. Sometimes they don’t draw correctly and you have to find a weird floating down arrow or X to dismiss it. There doesn’t seem to be a version of this app without ads so that’s weird…
