User Reviews

Reviews are overwhelmingly negative. The app is widely criticized for inaccurate identifications, irrelevant results, and frequent misclassifications, often with ads or unrelated links. Users report a poor user experience due to over-zoomed images and hard-to-reset searches, plus a sense that performance has declined over time. Privacy and account-management concerns also surface. Several reviewers note that Google Lens or similar tools perform better.
Pros
Cons
  • Frequent inaccuracies and misidentifications across a wide range of objects (e.g., stapler identified as a metal storage cabinet; tool boxes mistaken for a baseball bat; Gucci shoes misidentified).
  • Results often appear irrelevant or incorrect and may be accompanied by ads or links to unrelated sites or retailers (sometimes redirects to YouTube or retailer pages).
  • Poor UX and input behavior such as excessive image zoom, inability to reset searches, and searches that seem to derail rather than assist.
  • Perceived decline in performance over time—reviews suggest it used to work better but has degraded, with many calling it unreliable.
  • Privacy/account concerns cited by users, including inability to delete an account and issues with terms page loading or data handling (potentially sharing data).
Recent reviews
Absolutely worthless, tried to identify 4 different objects, all relatively common. App did not even come close to being able to identify them. Again, worthless. Google is much better.
