User Reviews

Summary: Users praise Timecode+ for ease of use, reliability on set, solid timecode syncing, and helpful export options. However, repeated issues include timecode drift, email/attachment problems, lack of a macOS/desktop version, marketing-feature gaps (running timecode, jam-to-camera, CSV exports), and unreliable support contact options. Overall, it’s a valued field tool, but several workflow gaps and reliability problems recur in reviews.
Pros
  • Easy to use and quick to learn with a simple UI.
  • Reliable field tool used daily on set and works across Mac, iPhone, and iPad.
  • Strong timecode synchronization and event timestamping.
  • Flexible export options to share logs (text, TSV, Excel).
  • Widely valued in the field and considered workflow-friendly by many users.
Cons
  • Timecode drifts and falls out of sync over the day.
  • Email/attachment issues: emails sometimes not sent or CC’d, TSV attachments fail.
  • No macOS/desktop version; users want a desktop app.
  • Marketing claims not met: advertised features like running timecode display, jam-to-camera, and some exports are missing or not as advertised (including CSV).
  • Support/feedback channels are unreliable (feedback button not working; difficulty contacting the developer).
Recent reviews
Shame…I bought this app so I can export my notes. This feature is now missing. There is an arrow at the bottom left corner saying Export Notes, but it leads to nothing. There is no button like in the advertised screenshot. I am using an Ipad Pro with ios 18.7.

Danny has been listening to comments in the App Store and on email. Timecode+ works great on my Mac an on the iPhone We use this everyday at work on set. Psyched for the next update!

I just downloaded this app, and apparently paid seven dollars for it, but unlike the photos advertised, it does not have any feature to display running time code.
