Features & Capabilities

World Number Translator helps learners count and spell numbers in many languages. It uses an odometer-style input for easy counting, a calculator-style keypad, and a fast-paced spelling game to reinforce recognition. For many non-Latin languages it also offers Latinized spellings (pronunciation-friendly) to help you remember how to say them.

Use it to translate numbers, practice counting, write checks, and sharpen language skills across 50+ languages (Afrikaans, Chinese, Spanish, French, Russian, and more).

User Reviews

User reviews praise the app for its strong counter feature and its use as a language-learning tool. The counter supports 0-9 or expanded columns to reach large numbers, with audio pronunciations and native-script/romanization displays. Reviewers value practicing numbers across languages and using it while traveling. Some note a less polished UI and desire for more language options, including native Korean numbers, but these concerns are not universal.
Pros
  • Versatile counter mode with add-column capability and support for counting to very large numbers (up to billions).
  • Audio pronunciation for many languages, aiding learning and listening practice.
  • Displays numbers in native scripts and romanization, helping users learn numbers across languages.
Cons
Recent reviews
the counter mode is perfect for practicing counting up and down, and you can even count by tens or hundreds or thousands or whatever

I bought the paid version after enjoying the free one for some time so I don’t know if this is only in the paid version but I just found a feature I didn’t know existed. The counter function counts 0-9 but you can add columns with + and count higher just by choosing digits in a scrolling list. Any number you want. For example I just randomly selected drie miljoen driehonderdvijfentachtig (in Dutch). 3.000.385. There is audio for many languages, and the numbers are displayed in their script and romanization. Counter goes up to the billions place e.g. 九十亿 jiǔ shí yì (9 billion in Chinese). How delightful and useful. (It is based on Apple translate so any audio glitches are Apple’s not the app’s.)
