If you are throwing a Derby Party*, or any horse racing based fundraiser or event where you want to accept bets and calculate winners, this is the App to use. Download common race data with horses and odds from the Internet, or enter your own race. Specify an optional house cut for a fundraiser or to cover your party. Add or modify horses and their odds, or mark a horse as scratched. Add or import bettors with an optional email address for distributing a payout summary. Bet types supported are: Win, Place, Show, Across the Board, Exacta, Trifecta, Exacta Boxed and Trifecta Boxed. Once the race has completed, enter the race results and calculate your payouts. The payout summary will specify all winning bettors with their payouts, as well as any fundraising house cut. Keep the calculations and data entry as simple as possible, and enjoy your Derby Party!

Whether the horse race is in New York, California, Kentucky, England, France or Australia this App can help manage the data and calculations associated with the hypothetical betting pool so you can enjoy the party more.

My girlfriend throws a huge derby party and this is great for taking small bets and paying out accurately, proportionate to bets taken in and posted odds. Very intuitive. Did a test run this morning and it's exactly what we needed. Two minor critiques that are easy to work around. 1. It doesn't adapt to dark mode. The font switches to white but the background doesn't go dark so you just can't read anything. Just turn dark mode off if applicable. 2. Avoid "save and add another" unless you know FOR SURE you're going to add another item. Or at least be ready for some odd behavior. If you choose "Save and add another" but then don't then add another item (bettor, bet, etc), you have to cancel out. It then sends you back to the relevant list of items and the entry you just added is missing. But navigate away and then back, and the entry is actually there after all. Play with it until you see what I mean bc this could really screw you up (duplicate entries, missing entries, etc). So "Save and add another" is GREAT for the data you can add in advance: adding the horses with odds and (at least from the guest list) bettors. But for adding bettors and bets during the party, just use "Save" (top right corner) and you're good. Very very minor additional suggestion: the default denominator in the odds should be set to 1, but such that you can override it. But: great app! Strongly recommended.

I’ve used this app every year for the past 5 years. The developer is great and gets right back to you. It is easy to use and I love that it can take a House percentage for charity. Highly recommended. Couldn’t have my annual Derby party without it!

This app was a bit hit at our Derby party. It was easy to use, and our guests had so much fun placing their bets - and collecting their payouts. I especially liked the "rounding" feature. Also, technical support is very responsive. I had a question the night before the Derby party, and it was answered within hours. Last year, I used an app that was extremely confusing and difficult to figure out. This one is miles ahead of that one. Highly recommended.
